This card will not break any records. However, if you are looking for a low-cost entry into modern PC gaming, you can’t go wrong. While you will get much more performance by stepping up to the GTX 260 Core 216, you will have to pay accordingly. You can see the latest prices below.
Either way, EVGA is a great buy. If you are not familiar with the company, you should know that they have good service/support and a very active community. My last 3 video cards were theirs. Register your card within 30 days and you get a lifetime warranty on the card. My Geforce 8800GTS died after 2 years, so I shipped it back and got a brand new one for the cost of shipping. Another bonus is the EVGA step up program, available for 90 days after purchase. If you want to upgrade, you can ship your current card back and upgrade to a better one. You only pay the difference between what you originally paid and the new card’s price.
