The complex lighting, shadows, and post processing in FarCry 2 made it a great benchmark for the GTS 250 and GTX 260. The GTX 470 simply devours this test, peaking at 160FPS at one interval. We have also included the benchmark for the Superclocked Edition of this card. This will give you an idea of the performance difference between the two cards out of the box, which is laughable considering the difference in cost. Is the Superclocked GTX worth the extra money? Not in my opinion.

Solid Tip: We ran the tests under both the 197.55 and the 197.75 drivers. The results were nearly identical, so we have omitted showing both sets. Also note that, for some reason, the Far Cry 2 benchmark is somewhat random. Watch the people carefully, and you’ll see they move around and talk randomly.
